Piping hot....not really

So I made this pillow....FINALLY. I bought this fabric and piping like a year ago. I have enough to make a second one but it was harder than I thought on to making the Mardi grad pillows I was supposed to do with the cousins this weekend....I forgot the plug to my sewing machine! Can you believe that! I am going to make it for them....we did however start cutting out t-shirts for Steff for her T-Shirt quilt.

I have a couple projects on the wanna do this month list, but the most important is finishing off the rest of my mom's deer quilt, I'm like 75% done and it feels so good to be so close!!

Not exactly sewing....

This past weekend my sister and cousin and I got together to do some crafts.  We made a mardi gras wreath based on one of the many ideas found on pintrest.  Ours came out AWESOME.  It cost around $30 to make, but all the ones that are out there for sale are about $60 and higher.

These are the highlights from us trying to make it.  It was a great time!

Next up for the crazy crafting cousins.....T-shirt quilt....which involves me teaching these two how to sew----this should be an interesting one!
